Reporting to: Group Head of Business Development

DETAILED ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGIC
• Support the Group Head of Business Development in implementation of business plans and strategies, consistent with overall objectives and vision.
• Lead the establishment and implementation of an annual marketing plan and supporting initiatives, to help build brand equity with internal and external stakeholders.

OPERATIONAL
• Develop and maintain corporate brand, to build and promote a positive image of the organization, in alignment to its vision and strategic objectives.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of corporate materials on branding, standards and matters relating to brand management.
• Oversee application of brand standards across the company’s head office, project sites, as well as affiliate and subsidiary companies, to ensure brand consistency.
• Oversee development of themes and templates for usage in all communications, and ensure their adherence across company operations.
• Develop and review quality copy for press releases, briefing notes, key messages, factsheets etc. in support of all communications activities and initiatives; Manage their placement in various communication media through contracted PR agencies.
• Monitor media coverage and issues arising, and quickly and effectively manage response through liaising with relevant staff internally, and engaging with the media and other stakeholders externally as required.
• Direct and review the development and production of all materials targeted at external stakeholders (such as publications, brochures, gifts etc.) in conjunction with other stakeholder departments, to ensure compliance with brand and communication guidelines; Oversee the procurement and distribution process for such materials to the targeted audiences, as per defined timelines.
• Develop strategic company narratives on key industry and policy issues, translating it into messaging that is clear, consistent and effective across target markets and audiences.
• Manage engagement with external stakeholders through identified out-reach programs, including conferences, exhibitions, sponsorships, and other events, helping build a positive company and brand reputation; Support development of presentation materials for such programs, in collaboration with participating departments.
• Participate in the design of format, structure, and content of website, in conjunction with other departments. Design and roll out social media strategy.
• Attend industry related events to network with other A&E organizations and to be informed of changes in the macro and micro environments impacting the industry.
• Develop and lead delivery of effective internal communications plans for all company activities and initiatives.
• Participate in the development and management of content, features and tools on internal communication platforms (such as broadcast e-mails, intranet, newsletters etc.).
• Assist senior management in designing proposals, presentations, communication campaigns, and marketing collateral in alignment with brand standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing) or Communications, with a professional certification in Marketing
• More than 10 years of experience in a similar role for an A&E firm

TECHNO-FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES
• Knowledge of A&E industry terminology, processes and delivery methods
• Knowledge of marketing and PR / communication principles
• Business management skills
• Knowledge of regional A&E industry, clients, projects, and trends

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Good leadership skills
• Able to multi-task and work independently without supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents
