Job purpose

We are seeking a marketing strategist to join the Communication and Partnerships Division of the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture Department.

The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) is an iconic landmark building, a beacon for knowledge to illuminate, inspire, and catalyze the potential of the Kingdomu2019s vast talent pool. Ithra is an all-purpose culture destination, and an environment for transformative experiences to unlock the power of potential through mastery in arts, science, literature, and innovation. Facilities include an idea lab, library, theater, museum, energy exhibit, art gallery, childrenu2019s museum, and a knowledge tower housed under one roof to provide visitors with an immersive and transformative experience.

Your primary role is to develop the brand strategy and oversee all marketing efforts to ensure alignment and consistency across all marketing functions and channels. You will be required to develop marketing policies and foresight. You should be able to oversee and evaluate creative campaigns with audience first thinking and business ROI. The role requires a strategic and innovative thinker who has the ability to connect marketing to all other aspects of our business. You will be required to constantly and proactively combine an in-depth knowledge of our business objectives and our competitive landscape to deliver an effective marketing strategy and recommendations. The ideal candidate is excited about all things digital, strategic planning, problem-solving, analyzing data, and interacting with management.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify new market opportunities and consumer preferences to support campaign creations.
  • Track and measure marketing outcomes, including marketing activities, response, and return on investment.
  • Forecast market trends and research market to identify new opportunities.
  • Generate innovative ideas to promote our brand and our products.
  • Develop business cases to support new marketing strategies, budget requests, projects, and marketing plans.
  • Evaluate marketing programs to determine whether they are compatible with the organizationu2019s strategy.
  • Develop creative briefs for the various programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare and supervise the production of publicity brochures, handouts, leaflets, promotional videos, and photographs.
  • Develop and implement a sponsorship sales plan for increasing revenues in a cost-effective manner. Target objectives include increasing sponsorship sales and creating sponsorship products and licensing deals to meet or exceed the overall business objectives.
  • Develop and implement an annual trade show or other events to assist in achieving the business objectives.
  • Manage all sponsorship activities. Responsible for sponsor prospecting, proposal customization and presentation, contract revision and servicing, sponsor follow-up and support, trade shows development, and representing the company at industry functions.
  • Proficient in marketing software and tools.
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns across multiple channels (social media, email, content marketing, etc.).
  • Minimum requirements

  • Bacheloru2019s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in advertising, duty-free marketing, and/or sports sponsorship.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to multicultural environment.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and practices.
