Material Engineer - Contractor - Building

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced Material Engineer to join our team on a prestigious large-scale building project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading international contractor delivering high-profile projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review and approve material submittals in line with project specifications and international standards.
• Liaise with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and compliance of materials.
• Conduct inspections, quality checks, and testing of construction materials.
• Monitor material usage, inventory, and cost control in coordination with the procurement team.
• Provide technical support to the project team regarding material selection and application.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in material engineering, with at least 3 years in large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of international building codes, standards, and testing procedures.
• Previous Middle East/GCC experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
