Job description / Role
One of KSA’s largest industrial conglomerate is looking for a technically qualified and experienced MECHANICAL DESIGN LEAD to join their construction & technical services in Jeddah, KSA. The successful candidate will lead the Mechanical Design Team and develop mechanical designs for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
Responsibilities:
• Lead mechanical design team
• Ability to write reports
• Develop and check mechanical design calculations for water and wastewater treatment equipment and piping
• Develop and check mechanical drawings
• Develop and check pressure vessel drawings
• Develop and check General Arrangement (GA) drawings for piping and equipment
• Develop and check piping isometrics
• Develop and check Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Develop and check valve lists
• Develop and check penstock list
• Develop and check pipe list
• Develop and check plant layouts
Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable University
• Minimum 8 years in mechanical design of water and wastewater treatment plants
• Understanding of mechanical design within the water industry
• Familiar with water and wastewater treatment plants units
• Mechanical design software
• Filing system of drawings
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
• Coordination with different design disciplines
• Fluency in English is a must
