Mechanical Engineer

Job description / Role

Responsibilities

- Develop detailed mechanical designs, blueprints, and specifications using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Design and test prototypes to validate mechanical performance and functionality.
- Select materials and components based on project specifications and budget.
- Conduct simulations and analyses to evaluate stress, heat transfer, and other performance parameters.
- Perform failure analysis and recommend design modifications.
- Utilize analytical tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) for system optimization
- Oversee the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and milestones.
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues in existing systems or equipment.
- Recommend and implement preventive maintenance practices
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct quality checks during manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and production teams.
- Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and integrate innovative solutions into designs.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA).
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
