Employment: Full Time

Mechanical Engineer

· Provide technical recommendations, proposals or responses as requested from outside TSD, relevant to day to day facility engineering issue.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide technical recommendations, proposals or responses as requested from outside TSD, relevant to day to day facility engineering issue.
· Provide technical assistance based on SSE/SE direction to urgent plant situations in the area of Mechanical as required.
· Provide technical review and consultation to design document provided by others in the area of Mechanical as required.
· Participate in Task Force / Facility incident investigations.
· Provide technical review and advice on MOC, Trip report and Hazard studies.
· Participate in regular meeting, OJT and training courses.
· Provide technical review for excavation permit.

Requirements

Qualifications & Education

· Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from reputable university.
· More than 7 years of experience in Oil Refining and Petrochemical Plants possibly combined with EPC contractor experience.
· Combined experience with design, material selection, analysis/calculation, field construction, troubleshooting in mechanical & piping.
· Good knowledge of Mechanical engineering practices and calculation methods in basic.
· Good knowledge of Piping engineering practices, design details and calculation methods including CAD practice.
· Good understanding of industrial standards, international code requirement and Company work procedures.

The plant is valued at US $10 billion and originally produced 18.4 million tons per annum (mtpa) of petroleum-based products and 2.4 mtpa of ethylene and propylene-based derivatives.

Our products are used in such end products as plastics, detergents, lubricants, resins, coolants, anti-freeze, paint, carpets, rope, clothing, shampoo, auto interiors, epoxy glue, insulation, film, fibers, household appliances, packaging, candles, pipes and many other applications.

Petro Rabigh II is an expansion project valued at US $8.4 billion - 25% funded by the public and the remainder equally funded by Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical. Petro Rabigh II is scheduled to be in full production by 4th Quarter 2017 and will produce a wide range of new products.
