MEP Design Lead

Job description / Role

My client is a leading engineering consultancy based in Riyadh who have an excellent reputation and a track record of working on major projects in the Kingdom. They are currently looking to recruit a MEP design Lead for the following;

• Ensures department is adequately resourced with the appropriate number of personnel and skills to meet the needs of the business.
• Develops; polices and matures departmental procedures with a focus on continual improvement.
• Allocates and apportions work within the department and liaises with Design Services Lead and Project Controls Director in respect of workforce planning.
• Provides technical leadership on projects and delegates this responsibility when appropriate.
• Manages department assets, including software tools and licenses.
• Maintains a department skills matrix for employees, identifies training and development needs of staff.
• Performance manages department staff, including conducting annual performance appraisals.
• Provides technical leadership to the Mechanical Design team.
• Develops and maintains Client relationships.
• Inputs into Business Development team and the proposal process as required.
• Provides advice and technical assistance to team members.

Requirements

• Candidates should have a degree in mechanical engineering and should preferably be a chartered member of an international institute such as CIBSE and a member of the Saudi council of engineers is preferred.
• Candidates should have a proven track record of working as a MEP lead and should have experience of working on major mechanical engineering projects in the Middle East and preferably Saudi Arabia. Candidates should have experience of Revit.
