MEP Project Director - World Cup Stadium

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Project Director to oversee the delivery of all MEP services engineering of a prestigious World Cup Football Stadium project in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the MEP team, ensuring the successful completion of the project within the specified timelines and budget.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the MEP team, providing guidance and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of the project.
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of all mechanical and electrical systems within the stadium, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to coordinate MEP design and installation with other project elements.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of the project.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and safety on the project site.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any potential issues or delays to keep the project on track.
- Provide regular updates and reports to project stakeholders, including senior management and clients, on the status of the MEP aspects of the project.
- Maintain a strong focus on sustainability and energy efficiency in all MEP systems and installations.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred but NOT required.
- Proven experience as an MEP Project Director or similar role, with a successful track record of delivering large-scale construction projects, preferably in the sports stadium or arena sector.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, power distribution, and fire protection systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of engineers and technical staff.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- In-depth understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to MEP systems and construction.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with senior management and clients.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Professional certifications, related to MEP, are highly desirable.
- Fluency in English.

Salary:
SAR 70,000 to 80,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
