Job purpose

The multi skill technician is responsible for executing a wide range of maintenance tasks across various attractions and devices, including dark rides, arcade systems, and VR setups. The role supports installation, operational readiness, and ongoing technical maintenance, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and international regulations. Technicians work closely with contractors, manufacturers, and internal teams to uphold performance, safety, and guest experience standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform corrective and planned maintenance on rides and devices, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and international standards.
• Respond to ride/device stoppages, troubleshoot issues, and document corrective actions.
• Support installation phases and collaborate with contractors and vendors to meet technical requirements.
• Assist in the implementation and use of asset management systems and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Participate in high-level annual maintenance and certification processes, including TUV and evacuation procedures.
• Monitor spare parts and consumables, providing feedback on stock levels and usage efficiency.
• Conduct inspections of tools and equipment, ensuring calibration and safety compliance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical documentation (SOPs, manuals, checklists).
• Support departmental training initiatives and maintain training records.
• Step in for senior technicians when required and assist team leaders in resource planning.
• Ensure readiness for daily operations and contribute to achieving reliability and availability targets.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all QHSE policies.
• Work flexible hours including night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Key requirements

1. Education
Diploma or certificate in electronics & audio-visual engineering or a related field.

2. Experience
Minimum 5 years in the leisure and attractions industry, preferably in theme parks or FECs.
Proven track record in maintaining theme park/FEC equipment, dark rides, arcade machines, and VR systems.
Familiarity with EN13814 and/or ASTM F24 standards, including SASO regulations for amusement devices.
Experience in electronics troubleshooting, reading schematics, and working with PLC or automated control systems.
Support experience in certification/recertification processes.

3. Nature of experience
Familiarity with SASO technical regulations for amusement parks games & devices.
Hands-on experience with safety protocols including LOTO, evacuation procedures, and TUV certification.
Exposure to ride vendors such as Mack, Triotech, Brogen, ETF, HUSS, ASI Arcade, Warehouse of Games.
