Job description / Role
Production
- Review the FO structure periodically to confirm it is still the optimal set-up and make recommendations to management about any change initiatives
- Support the introduction and ensure compliance to system and process requirements.
- Ensure that the companies productivity targets are met and maintained as a minimum
- Compliance in all areas of export and import such as AEO, security, customs, insurance, dangerous goods, QSHE
Commercial and Business Development
- Primary scope to expand and develop assigned traffics and tradelanes
- Commercial development through own sales initiatives and by supporting sales in the relationship(s) with key customers and opportunities and by supporting the sales and KAM organization
- Provide to and monitor the provision of competitive rates and services for clients directly or through our sales organization and/or KAMs
- Investigate, help develop and support programmers which enhance and improve GP/Order
- Ensure customers service level provided are of a high standard at all times and that SOP’s are in place.
Procurement
- Manage local carrier and ferry negotiations to optimize buying conditions, for specific clients and ad hoc movements
- Develop and Implement performance metrics and organize subcontractor performance review meetings
- Work to ensure carriers and the company processes are optimized locally
- Support at all times the companies carrier programmers and consolidation practices
Finance & Controlling
- Prepare monthly a ‘rolling forecast’ and support on the annual target setting process, ensuring accuracy
- Ownership of invoice accuracy, credit note reduction, credit control and P&L management and the timeliness of any required reports for your area of responsibility
Requirements
- Has intense industry knowledge
- Continuously updates own knowledge through reading industry papers and journals
- Writing skills
- Logistics and supply chain knowledge
- Saudi Customs regulations knowledge
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years in project management
- Minimum 5 years of International Experience
- Minimum 10 years in leadership
- Minimum 10 years in the logistic and shipping field
