Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Maintenance & Operations Manager to lead and oversee the maintenance function, ensuring that the company’s operations are supported by effective and reliable engineering and operational practices. The ideal candidate will be tasked with providing both reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service across all operational equipment and facilities. This role demands a strong commitment to maintaining high safety, quality, and environmental standards, managing a comprehensive maintenance schedule, and driving continuous improvements in operational effectiveness.

As a Maintenance & Operations Manager, you will develop and apply preventive maintenance routines, manage team performance, oversee equipment upgrades, and minimize downtime while fostering an environment of teamwork and high standards. You will be responsible for leading projects from conception through to installation, managing resources, and collaborating with different departments to ensure seamless operation. This position also encompasses budget management, KPI communication, and the development of training plans for personnel.

In this role, you will conduct root cause analysis, lead the team to meet objectives, ensure all maintenance personnel are trained and compliant with safety protocols, and handle major equipment failures and their resolutions. A critical part of your job will be communicating with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to achieve operational goals while adhering to legal and company standards.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must possess a college diploma, associate degree, or a bachelor's degree, preferably with an engineering background. An ideal candidate would have a minimum of 10 to 15 years of proven experience in maintenance and engineering operations, specializing in production plant equipment and systems, including ammonia and Freon plants, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance.

Candidates should be aged between 30 to 40 years and exhibit strong technical proficiency, including knowledge in factory maintenance, automation systems, general facility maintenance, and QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment) procedures. Proficiency in tools such as SCADA, PLC, AC/DC drives, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment is essential.

The candidate should demonstrate robust leadership and communication skills, effective decision-making, strategic thinking, and mentoring capabilities. The ability to plan, motivate, and develop high-performing teams is crucial. Furthermore, candidates must have solid problem-solving and project management skills, alongside a proven track record of conflict resolution, adaptability, and integrity.

The role will demand dedication beyond standard hours, including potential travel to various company branches, as the position supports facilities across the kingdom. Candidates must be ready to work flexible hours, conduct risk assessments, and contribute positively to a collaborative team atmosphere.

The Maintenance & Operations Manager will be a pivotal figure in ensuring operational excellence and driving improvements within a fast-paced, demanding environment.
