Responsibilities:
- Our newest opportunity is for a talented Operations Manager (Construction and Demolition Waste) to join our award-winning team based in Jeddah, KSA .
- This position will be responsible for overseeing the management, collection, and processing of construction and demolition (C&D) waste within Jeddah Governorate. This role involves ensuring that C&D waste management operations are efficient, compliant with environmental regulations, and aligned with the project's sustainability goals.
- The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing waste reduction and recycling efforts.
We envisage success in this role to include:
- Managing daily operations related to the collection, transportation, and disposal of C&D waste.
- Ensuring compliance with local environmental regulations and project-specific waste management standards.
- Overseeing the implementation of waste reduction and recycling strategies for C&D waste materials.
- Conducting regular site inspections to ensure that C&D waste is managed safely and efficiently.
- Coordinating with contractors and waste management teams to ensure proper sorting, recycling, and disposal of C&D waste.
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of C&D waste operations, including key performance indicators (KPIs) related to waste reduction, recycling, and resource recovery.
- Preparing detailed reports on C&D waste management activities and providing recommendations for process improvements.
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices related to C&D waste management.
Requirements:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 5+ years of experience in construction and demolition waste management or public infrastructure projects, partnered with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Waste Management, or a related field .
Furthermore, you should demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of waste management regulations, recycling processes, and environmental compliance standards.
- Experience in managing large-scale C&D waste operations and implementing waste reduction strategies.
- Familiarity with C&D waste recycling technologies and sustainable disposal practices.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple operational tasks.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Certification in waste management or environmental compliance (e.g., SWANA, ISO 14001) is an advantage.
