Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Summary
• Provides technical inputs about the production to the Operations Manager/Superintendent.
• Participates and contributes to make sure compliance on documented procedures, quality plans, standards and codes whatever applicable.
• Monitors critical product characteristics and process parameters suitability within the define tolerance limits.
• Participates in troubleshoots analysis, process audits and studies to improve the productivity of the plants.
• Analyses production and specific consumption data and collects the report for management.
• Provides technical support in developing and reviewing of SOP (Standard Operating Conditions).
• Participates in the implementation of safety policy and procedures. Participates in the production planning.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Identifies definite requirements and prepares the specific schedules for testing, sampling and analysing plant process equipment. Coordinates with supports groups and participate in its implementation.
• Participates in HAZOP process and other plant operations reviews.
• Participates in the efforts and compliance to documented procedures, quality standards and Responsible Care codes. Coordinates with Maintenance and Engineering group requirements for modifications and repairs of equipment in the plant. Includes reviewing EWR (Engineering Work Request) design packages for operability, functionality and safety.
• Coordinates operations activities on support for the installation and repairs of equipment, and makes necessary changes or revisions to operating procedures, records and drawing files.
• Supports in the unit supervision to meet all goals and objectives.
• Assists in the unit supervision during weekends and vacation coverage.
• Attends morning operations meetings, maintains regigar or daily communication about supervisions on unit operations and maintenance activities.
• Assists in writing daily operating instructions as required and supports the unit in the supervision during emergency or safety incidents.
• Assists operations personnel in the commissioning of new equipment and other unit control modifications.
• Coordinates training of operating personnel in relation to new equipment installation and/or process control modifications. Coordinates with Maintenance, Engineering and Process Groups in day-to- day activities as required.
• Gives assistance to maintenance personnel on equipment troubleshooting actions and repairs.
• Reviews and approves all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) and takes the lead role in communicating changes or requesting support from outside departments. Participates and assists in the development of every Operator progression/qualification tests.
• Leads the process notifications when it requires engineering inputs.
• Reviews notification's status on a regular basis with the Engineering Department.
• Reviews and approves daily or weekly maintenance notifications and schedules. Coordinates notifications that require equipment and/or unit shutdown.
• Maintains a log of shutdown notifications and periodically publishes a list of shutdown notifications and distributes them among supervisory personnel and maintenance planner.
• Secures a technical package for each shut down notification and makes available a documented plan requirement such as scope of work, isolation plan, clearing procedure, requirement tools, etc.
• Participates in the development and implementation of best practices procedures related tc operations.
• Plans and coordinates all activities, prior to, during and after the unit shutdowns.
• Carnes out his duties with excellence.
• He must be aware of the Company's Quality Program and ensure that he complies with all requirements of his manuals and other duties assigned for the unit supervision.
• Leads FCR (Facility Change Request) of the operations, evaluates the implementation of safety procedures.
• Ensures full participation in "Eureka" and encourages the shift workers to drive better participation and be responsible for the idea screening process Complies with CAMEL (Continuous Awareness Must Eliminate Losses) process requirements.
• Ensures reporting of every shift personnel are within the required target.
• Guides colleagues to improve the quality of CAMEL observations being reported.

Requirements

Qualification and Experience
• Academic - minimum is completion of Secondary Science (12 years) education or equivalent
• Related Work Experience (type and years) ten (10) year- experience in all aspects of plant operations
• Additional - Specialized Training must have a minimum of five (5) year - experience in Supervisory level or three (3) year-experience as Training Coordinator or two (2) year-experience as Shift Coordinator. Have experiences in a turnaround, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Language skills - must have good oral and written communication skills in the English language.
