Overview

We are seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join Upstream Database Service Division (UDSD) under EXPEC Computer Operations Department (ECOD).

UDSD provides and maintain Upstream structured & unstructured data repositories, application middle-tier and Information Management services. Develop infrastructure & security applications for Upstream. Implement Upstream data modeling, data security, data integration, data quality, data governance for enterprise data. Facilitate collaboration and provide consultation guidelines for business process management, and knowledge management services.

This is an excellent opportunity for the candidate to play an integral role in shaping the database & data services of Saudi Aramco Upstream business line.

Key Responsibilities

You are expected to be able to perform the following:
- Assess user requirements for new databases
- Design database architecture
- Perform regular backups of databases
- Perform partial and complete data recovery as required
- Monitor the database environment
- Maintain the database monitoring infrastructure
- Ensure database integrity
- Ensure high availability of the database environment
- Maintain and implement Disaster Recovery procedures
- Patch and Upgrade the database environment
- Conduct database consolidation and migration projects
- Evaluate new database technologies and deploy appropriate solutions
- Evaluate, customize and apply Corporate and industry database standards and procedures for: Security and Auditing
- Business Continuity, Backup and Recovery, Performance Analysis and Tuning
- Meet the continuing operational demands of the IR 4.0 environment
- Support projects and be the primary focal point for the Advanced Analytics environment
- Build and maintain data pipelines, productionize Oracle machine learning models, monitor and optimization analytical queries, and perform SQL performance tuning

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate should hold bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years' experience directly related to Oracle Database Administration
- Expert Database Administration knowledge to perform production administration for a scalable Oracle database
- Expertise in Oracle Real Application Cluster and Clusterware
- Expertise in Oracle Data Gurad
- Expertise in Oracle GoldenGate and SQL Data Import / Export tools
- Expertise in Performance Tuning
- Oracle Database Administration Certified Professional (OCP)
- Working knowledge of Oracle Linux Operating System
- Working knowledge of Oracle Advanced Analytics options (In Memory, Data Mining, Oracle Machine Learning for R and Python)
- Working knowledge of the Data Engineering and Data Science
