Overview:

We are seeking a Planning and Performance Management (P&PM) Analyst I that will be responsible, under the general direction of the head of the P&PM organization or his/her designee, for generating analytical findings and recommendations across the scope of objectives and deliverables of the organization, either independently or in collaboration with others.

The incumbent is expected to proactively identify problems and issues that arise in his/her assigned areas and recommend solutions for these issues. Furthermore, the incumbent will be tasked with mentoring other P&PM personnel on the practice of P&PM. The expected supervision and guidance for the position are minimal.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides analytical findings & recommendations relating to regular P&PM tasks such as business plan preparation, performance tracking and measurement, and performance analysis and accountability reporting.

Conducts special P&PM-related studies such as the development of performance initiatives and business cases, benchmarking, risk management, design and re-design of measurements, processes and workflows, and information system-related changes.

Provides supervision, coordination and/or facilitation in the execution of regular and special tasks by other P&PM personnel, as well as mentorship on P&PM analytical practice.

Performs other related staff and analytical duties, as assigned

Requirements

Desired Competencies:

The following are some of the highly desired competencies for a successful candidate:
- Understanding of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), dashboards and performance monitoring.
- Knowledge in establishing KPIs and quantifying the critical success factors to enable the measurement of performance.
- Data-driven decision making, statistical analysis, machine learning approaches, Data Analytics
- Solid practical knowledge in Microsoft Office; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access as well as Data Analytics / Data Mining tools.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Fluent in English writing and speaking.
- Experience in one or more of the following fields: aviation, marine, medical services, housing, transportation, safety, security, human resources or public affairs.

Minimum Requirements:

As a successful candidate, you must hold a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline with at least 7 years of experience.

You must have significant demonstrable work experience in the practice of planning and performance management and demonstrated capability and track record in the practice of planning and performance management and in the use of business intelligence tools. Additionally, a solid knowledge and understanding of management accounting, finance, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

It is preferred to have an advanced business degree (e.g., MBA) and/or relevant professional certification (e.g., CMA, CFA, or CPA).

You must have an excellent ability to communicate in English with peers as well as members of management and be able to produce clear and concise oral and written reports in English.
