Pastry Chef

Job description / Role

To promote the company products through the excellent demonstration of how the products can be used to meet customer requirements whether existing or in development. This role reports to the Cluster Leader in Dubai.

Main duties of the role are as follows:
• Develop recipes for finished products using company products to demonstrate to customer how those products could be used. Record recipes onto the company system for future reference
• Prepare finished products to the highest standards for promotional activities including promotional materials and activities by the job holder or others
• Attend presentations to customers as required to demonstrate the use of company products or to explain how the customer could use the company products in their own production facilities.
• Support all marketing activities and the company marketing plan in all activities to maximize the impact from such activity
• Keep up-to-date with developments of new products in the industry, the retail sector and the company to ensure that the company stays at the forefront of the industry
• Communicate the results of demonstrations and work carried out, either as marketing activity or recipe development of for other reasons, to all interested parties in the most effective and appropriate manner
• Provide training for others both internally and externally on how to use the company products
• Act as an ambassador for the company at all times, taking every opportunity to promote the company products

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working for a food manufacturing company/in store bakery/craft Baker
• Bakery and pastry experience in manufacturing or retail/artisanal bakery shop is a must
• Creativity and passion for food.
• Excellent English and Arabic communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with customers, colleagues etc.
• Ability to travel frequently
