Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Project Planning and Scheduling:
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones for capital projects in mining and exploration.
• Use advanced planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to establish baseline schedules and update progress.
• Monitor project timelines, identify critical paths, and adjust schedules to accommodate changes.

Budget Management:
• Prepare cost estimates and budget forecasts for capital projects.
• Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality or safety.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of projects.
• Facilitate regular meetings to review project progress, risks, and deliverables.

Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks and challenges to project delivery and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards in all project activities.

Reporting and Documentation:
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, contracts, and change orders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in capital project planning and execution, preferably within the mining or exploration industry.
• Demonstrated experience in managing multi-million-dollar projects in remote or challenging environments.
• Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Strong understanding of mining operations and related capital infrastructure requirements.
• Familiarity with cost estimation tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic work environment.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia and work in remote locations as required.
• Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage but not mandatory.
