Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

ROLE PURPOSE:

To be responsible for all related matters with regard to the planning and controls requirements of the projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and gather all data and information required for effective planning/scheduling, monitoring and controlling the execution of activities of the project.
• Preparing the construction schedule in Primavera P6. Preparation of other planning documents (like Progress S Curve, Earn Value Curve, Man power Histogram etc.).
• Preparation of project Cash flow, and estimated budget required.
• Resource planning (labor & material) and its tracking on regular basis. Calculate its efficiency of and utilization factors of all deployed resources based on the actual progress.
• Finding Critical Path of project with regular monitoring and preparing schedule impact reports for the project management.
• Coordinate with other internal departments regarding the interfacing of construction activities, material & equipment availability.
• Preparation of Daily, Weekly and Monthly Progress Report to be submitted to Project Manager and Project Consultant.
• Preparing Project Presentations, Cash Flow, S-Curve regularly. Set Weekly / monthly / quarterly targets for execution team & monitor the same.
• Coordinating and conducting meetings with contractors/vendors for timely completion of project as per planned schedule.
• Study of contract documents, specifications, tender working and BOQ.
• Approval of plan and methodology by Project manager/Consultant.
• Monitoring the progress of the project at different stages of its development. Proactively assessing progress, completion forecasts and providing solutions to mitigate schedule delays or to optimize project completion.
• Arrange and attend the schedule review meetings as and when required.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCES REQUIRED

- Candidates must be graduate engineers
- Have 5 to 10 years of experience on Building and Hotel Projects.
- Have experience in developing Overall Project Schedules using Primavera P6
- Generating various detail Monitoring Schedules,
- Preparing Progress Curves,
- Monthly Reports and Variance analysis
