Job description / Role
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing planning and scheduling support and assistance to the Senior Planning Manager, Project Managers, and other Project team members.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding work scope, quantity and familiar with logical sequencing of construction disciplines;
- Providing detailed review, analysis and monitoring of the procurement and construction program of the Consultant, Contractor, Subcontractors and Utilities;
- Identify any potential or actual delays to the consultant or contractor’s schedule and coordinate with project manager to make sure project activities and contract milestones are according to plan
- Support the production of periodic reporting data as required work closely on a day to day basis with the consultant and/or contractor’s planning team to maintain the quality and integrity of the planning process
- Support the production of progress reports, graphs and other data as required for the monthly and weekly progress reports
- Reporting to the Senior Planning Engineer any risks, opportunities and mitigation strategies to maintain the project completion date;
- Conducting independent site visits to evaluate the contractor’s site progress against his program and reporting to the Senior Planning Engineer and Project Manager
- Providing support to the project management team in understanding the program risks and opportunities of potential additional works and variation proposals;
- Attend progress meeting with Contractors and Consultants to review progress and discuss proposed mitigation or recovery actions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12-15 years Post Graduate Engineering experience gained preferably in a Property Development or Construction environment in a planning or project control function.
- Experience in major infrastructure and utilities projects is desirable.
- Competencies required are excellent organizational skill, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, diplomacy, materials and construction knowledge and a good knowledge of the local industry.
- Proficiency using latest version of Primavera planning software together with proficiency using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products in generating reports.
- Ability to work in office and on-site facility.
Salary:
SAR
20,000 to 25,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
