The project:
Mace has been appointed to partner on a new project focusing on the events industry in the Kingdom and build cutting-edge venues to host world-class events in the culture, entertainment, tourism, and sports sectors.
Mace PMC is building up a team in support of the demands for the project and programme of works within our scope and require a planning manager to support the current planning team within project controls team.
This is a full-time onsite position in the client's office.

• You will lead the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.

• You will be a recognised expert in PMO and project controls, with a strong internal and external network (e.g. clients, contractors, consultancies and other stakeholders).
• Develop the project schedules by interfacing with the project managers and project team (Procurement, design and etc).
• Developing and scheduling reports together with the planning and controls leads, collecting and interpreting schedule data and EV, providing output to the programme and project teams.
• Interacting with functional leads and sub-programme leads to obtain schedule updates, monitoring actual performance against the schedule to identify delay, early and late completion.
• Interfacing with the project technical staff to define a change to schedules and identification of variances from the original plan.
• Identifying and evaluating associated schedule, resource conflicts and potential cost impacts and issues.
• Production and control of cost and resource loaded baseline and current schedule, utilising approved work breakdown structures and techniques.
• Adherence to scheduling and project control standards across the project.
• Overseeing and ensuring schedules are updated to an agreed timeframe.
• Support cost control, risk and change management teams where appropriate.
• Support the production of monthly reports through the provision of intelligent information and analysis.
• Producing analysis of trends, generating performance indicators and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.
• Analysis and integration of schedules provided by contractors and suppliers.
• Establish and foster working relationships with all appropriate stakeholders pursuant to the discharging of your responsibilities or in aid of theirs.
• Liaise with other departments and foster and practice client team values.
• Responsible for supporting schedule management and reporting for the program - including cost and earned value reporting and management.
• Provide ad hoc support to the wider project controls function to develop the capability of the team using knowledge from wider experience.
• Adherence to the current monthly project controls cycle and processes and support with any future development.
• Good working knowledge of planning/scheduling, EVM, project controls methodologies.

Requirements:
• Leadership skills to lead the project control’s function and team.
• Exposure to project controls methodologies and delivery.
• Recognising and allocating best practice across the various project teams.
• Demonstrates capability to coordinate and map our mitigation measures and opportunities leading to value benefits to the programme.
• Successful interaction with a range of key stakeholders, including client and wider team.
• Degree or equivalent with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the programme, project or commercial management disciplines.
• Membership of either RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
• Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
