Job description / Role
POSITION: LTC Plant Manager - Yanbu, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
REPORTS TO: Managing Director - LTC
JOB SUMMARY and KEY OBJECTIVES:
Direct and manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, inventory management and other production-related activities.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the plant.
• Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance and quality, shipping and receiving.
• Work closely with the quality control personnel to review product consistency while monitoring waste to determine trends and areas of improvement.
• Review established production schedules for the manufacturing department to insure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible.
• Coordinate the hiring and training of all manufacturing personnel.
• Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.
• Ensure all members of the manufacturing team are aware of safety policies to provide a safe workplace for our employees.
• Maintain and support a superior safety and housekeeping program, including all timely communication initiatives.
• Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain a robust preventative maintenance program at the plant
• Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to all operations employees.
• Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment.
• Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals.
• Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity.
• Provides direction, development and leadership to the production supervisor.
• Direct and coordinate various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.).
• Coordinate maintenance of existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
• Initiate and coordinate major projects, (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.)
Requirements
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
• 5+ years progressive experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facility.
• Engineering Degree Qualified
• Previous experience/strong understanding of budgeting/expense management
• Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends.
• Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies.
• Demonstrated strong leadership and team building.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills.
• Work effectively and relate well with others. Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others, working to maintain constructive working relationships.
• Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing, operations, maintenance and engineering.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and maintenance needs.
