Employment: Full Time

Podiatric Technologist I - Rehabilitation, Jeddah

Main areas of responsibility:
• Supervise the podiatric technicians and other nursing staffwithin the podiatric surgery unit.
• Under the direct supervision of the qualified consultant or surgeon, assist in examining and treating a bone, muscle,and joint disorders affecting the feet; assist in diagnosing diseases and deformities using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results; perform wound debridement.
• Assist in treating conditions such as corns, calluses, ingrown nails, shortened tendons, bunions, cysts, and abscesses by surgical methods.
• Advise patients about treatments and fool care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems.
• Educate the public about the benefits of foot care.
• Prescribe orthopedic shoes and perform palliative foot care.
• Conduct a biochemical and gait evaluations; perform non-surgical treatments of sports injuries.
• Communicate with vendors and maintain a wound care product inventory.
• Maintain conidentiality of patient, staffand hospital information.
• Ensure a smooth operation of the clinic.
• Perform other job related duties as required.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current Nursing License - E
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a related area - E
• Knowledge of all forms of foot hygiene, foot related subjects (including the pathology of skin and nails, microbiology and anatomy), circulatory problems, proper sterilization of instruments and operating procedures.
• Skills: Effective communications skills
• Working conditions: Occasional nights and on-call shifts
• English Language Skills: Level I-E
• Computer Skills: Level II-E
