Job Description

Saudi Aramco (SA) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join Pressure Vessels & Tanks Group (PV&TG) in Static Equipment Division (SED) of Consulting Services Department (CSD) based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. PV&TG provides technical support and consultations to Saudi Aramco operating facilities as well as JV Companies in the area of pressure vessels and storage tanks. It also provides technical support to new projects, maintains quality standards, encourages technologies deployment, performs technical assessment to vessels and tanks manufacturers, enhance non-metallic deployment and engages in delivering technical courses to young engineers.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and consultations to Saudi Aramco operating facilities as well as JV Companies in the area of pressure vessels and storage tanks.
- Provide technical support to new projects development through engagement in the e-review at various project stages to ensure full compliance with SA relevant standards and provides support during construction stage.
- Maintain quality standards through continuous revisions and benchmarking with industry standards and participation in value engineering (VE) studies.
- Explore, evaluate and adopt technologies that will address specialty challenges or enhance operation.
- Perform technical evaluation of vessels and tanks manufacturers to verify their engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
- Enlarge envelope of non-metallic deployment in the area of vessels and tanks.
- Enhance knowledge sharing through teaching technical courses related to the specialty.
- Present technical papers in major international conferences and issue papers in reputable oil and gas journals.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related degree from an accredited university.
- A Professional Engineer (P.E.) will be desirable but is not essential.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in in the pressure vessels and tanks industry (design, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs, commissioning, testing, etc.)
- Experienced in the design codes of pressure vessels (i.e. ASME SEC VIII D1&2) and tanks (i.e. API STD 650 and API STD 620).
- Experienced in the industry codes used to evaluate pressure vessels (i.e. API-510 and API-579) and tanks (i.e. API-653 and API-579).
- Familiar with stress analysis techniques and own the capability to review (as minimum) results of analysis.
- Demonstrate excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
