Job description / Role
A new state of the art school in Riyadh is looking for an experienced Primary teacher to join their talented team.
The school serves boarding and day students with a world class education and providing a strong focus on co curricular activities. The school's vision is to create a genuinely twenty first century learning environment in which highly experienced teaching staff use project based learning and a range of other proven instructional teaching methodologies to equip Saudi youth with the cognitive, academic and social skills that they require in order to gain entry to the best higher education institutes across the world and to become pioneers of the Kingdom's future.
The school is planning to offer the International Baccalaureate (IBO) continuum, beginning with the IBO Primary Years Programme (PUP).
Requirements
- Teaching certification from an accredited institution and minimum three years of experience in the elementary classroom; international experience preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of the PUP Programme
- Experience in teaching and learning in the PUP setting
- Knowledge and ability in unit writing, specifically PUP Units of Inquiry and backwards design
- Awareness of students developmental needs and learning capacities
JOB PERFORMANCE STANDARDS, INDICATORS & MEASURE
Instructional Planning:
The Teacher plans using the PUP framework, effective strategies, resources and data to meet the needs of all students.
