Title:
Principal Designer - Pipeline

Overall Summary A Senior Pipeline Designer with proven experience in the design of transportation piping system according to ASME B31.4 and/or ASME B31.8 mainly for cross country pipelines, production pipelines, trunk lines, test lines and flow lines in the Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon and/or infrastructure industries. Minimum 10 years' experience in FEED and detailed engineering of medium to large scale projects is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform site survey, prepare site as-built and sketches
- Prepare pipeline alignment sheets (Plan & Profile) and LUP
- Prepare pipeline equipment (scraper trap, test traps, etc.) layout, piping layout and details
- Preparation of material Bill of Quantity (BOQ)
- Provides technical support and guidance to the project team, including the Clients
- Responsible for design integrity of pipeline scope and on-schedule delivery of the works within budget

Key Interactions:
- General understanding of other disciplines activities
- Interact with the Project Management and other disciplines to achieve the design objectives
- Client as required

Requirements

Qualifications & Years of Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Certification, with a minimum of 10 years' design experience in Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon and/or infrastructure industries.

Key Skills & Technical:
Competencies:
- Must be a reliable designer who can work independently with minimum supervision
- Must be proficient in developing design drawings using Microstation Knowledge of Saudi Aramco CADD standards is an advantage
- Must have knowledge & understanding of Design practices, Construction Practices and Procedures
- Must have knowledge in Plot Plan and equipment layout, pipeline layout, pipeline protection and drain systems philosophy
- Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Southern & Northern Area flow line models and Saudi Aramco Standards and Procedures will be an added advantage.
- Must be proficient in English; oral and written communication.
