Procurement / Supply Chain Consultant (ex-Director / VP level)

Our client is a leading and highly respected Middle East construction and civil engineering contractor, with an enviable portfolio of iconic and mega-projects.

They are currently looking to recruit a Procurement / Supply Chain Consultant to join their team in Riyadh for a 6-12 contract.

The role:
* Responsible for the timely and cost-effective strategic sourcing of complex goods and services in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
* Develops and oversees the Supply Chain functions (procurement, purchasing, logistics, and warehousing) to ensure cost efficient and timely provision of materials and services to projects
* Oversees the provision of timely and effective support to tenders by all Supply Chain functions (e.g. for Procurement Strategy, pricing of key packages, etc.)
* Research, select, develop and maintain adequate sources of supply to ensure that the requirements of the category are met with the optimum quality, service and cost-in-use.
* Leads the development of risk analyses, assessments and mitigation plans
* Leads the supplier portfolio management activities (identification, selection, assessment of performance, etc.)
* Ensures the preparation and periodic updating of the department’s schedules, in coordination with Operations and Planning
* Ensures the efficient management of clients warehouses (central warehouse and project warehouses) in accordance with the agreed budgets
* Accountable for the effective and efficient maintenance clients fleet and formwork
* Brings the required level of leadership to ensure a well-functioning organization
* Identifies and monitors KPIs for the Supply Chain functions, and devises plans and initiatives for improvement

Requirements

* A minimum of 25 Years at least 10 Years’ experience in executive level in Procurement - Supply Chain with a large scale main contractor.
* Strong problem solving, management, and strategic planning and execution skills
* Bachelor in Engineering; Business Administration; MBA is a plus
* Strong Oracle Experience.
* Excellent knowledge of the Construction industry;
* Experience in the Middle East is a strong plus
