Product And Development Specialist

Job description / Role

•Strategize the product initiative into clear roadmaps, plans, and prioritized delivery backlogs aligned to business goals and market needs.
•Maintain product epics/features across business functions (IE cash, derivatives, fixed income), ensuring readiness for execution.
•Support competitor benchmarking and market scans; convert findings into actionable feature proposals and problem statements.
•Gather voice-of-customer (VOC) inputs from business, sales, and servicing teams and translate them into product requirements.
•Build product change business cases (benefits, risks, cost estimates, timelines, dependencies).
•Track value realization post-launch (adoption, service quality, client experience improvements), escalating gaps and proposing fixes.
•Lead requirements elicitation workshops; produce high-quality BRDs/FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps.
•Partner with IT/architecture to validate solution design and ensure feasibility and scalability.
•Manage delivery activities with IT and vendors (scope tracking, milestones, RAID logs, change requests).
•Review vendor deliverables against agreed scope and quality standards; validate effort assumptions and identify optimization opportunities.
•Own UAT planning and execution: test scenarios, test data preparation, defect triage, re-test cycles, and sign-off readiness.
•Coordinate end-to-end release readiness: operational checklists, runbooks, training, communications, go/no-go criteria, and hypercare.
•Define procedures/SOPs and service models for new product features, coordinate training for frontline teams.
•Identify friction in front-to-back processes and propose automation or simplification opportunities to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
•Ensure system health checks in UAT and production environments to ensure reliability.
•Raise and manage production issue incidents with IT for resolution.
•Guide analysts/associates in requirements quality, testing discipline, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
•Assign work, coach performance, and build subject-matter depth across asset classes and trading workflows.
•Facilitate alignment between business units, IT, operations, and vendors to deliver outcomes smoothly and on time.
•Governs implementation of risk-related policies and processes (operational, regulatory, financial, informational, reputational and audit risks) for the department, ensuring that that these meet regulatory and internal control requirements.
•Reviews implementation of the internal control systems in line with relevant operating procedures and regulatory requirements and takes corrective action based on audit findings.

•Bachelor’s degree in < Computer Science, Engineering>
•Master’s degree in < Finance, Computer Science, Engineering> is preferred
•PMP/PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum (CSM/PSM), or finance-related certifications (CFA/FRM).
•Written and spoken English is essential, Arabic is preferred
•Hands-on product lifecycle execution (requirements ? build ? UAT ? launch ? optimization).
•Exposure to trading platforms, OMS/EMS concepts, post-trade workflows, and broker operations.
•Vendor/technology project coordination and release management experience.
