We are seeking a product owner to join our Global Optimizer Development Department.

The Global Optimizer Development Department (GOD) charter is to optimize crude allocation and the operations of global manufacturing facilities in order to maximize revenue, increase profitability, and capture international market opportunities.

Your primary focus will be to identify and detail the business requirements for Global Optimizer digital solutions. You will actively participate in solutions that improve downstream margin from design stages to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Identify and document business requirements for downstream digital solutions.
  • Participate in solution ideation, design sprints, and user interviews to gather and synthesize information.
  • Benchmark industry best practices and existing solutions in the market.
  • Assist in the design of target customer journeys.
  • Translate end-user requirements into features and software functionalities and document them in industry standard formats.
  • Define and review clear acceptance criteria and ensure user stories are ready for design and development.
  • Participate in demo sessions to ensure the design/development meets the requirements and provide feedback.
  • Participate/Lead user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet the business requirements.
  • Define standards and templates on how to write requirements documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, and others based on industry best practices and Aramco's guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or Petroleum Studies. An advanced degree is preferred.

  • You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis and product management.
  • Proven experience as a digital solution product owner or similar role.
  • Certification in Agile Methodologies (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent understanding of the oil and gas industry, particularly downstream.
  • Knowledge of refining planning process modeling requirements.
  • Knowledge of digital solutions and technologies including software development processes, user experience design, and testing.
