Production Engineer

Job description / Role

Basic Function:
Applies and maintains UGHI production standards. Performs all activities in production floor to make sure that all production resources (Machine, Manpower and Raw Material) are fully utilized.

Duties And Responsibilities:
- Ensures that production procedures are implemented to meet UGHI quality, efficiency and delivery schedules.
- Ensure that raw materials and manufacturing processes conform to the company specifications and quality standards.
- Assists in full utilization of production manpower and makes sure that all machined are fully manned.
- Monitors production costs by efficiently use of resources (raw materials, packing materials, cleaning materials, tools, etc). Initiates proposals for reducing the general running costs.
- Makes sure that preventive and corrective maintenance plans are carried out as per schedule to minimize breakdowns and optimize machine efficiency.
- Evaluate the performance of production staff & suggest the appropriate training program as necessary.
- Assists in machine improvement and development programs.
- Prepares regular production reports for each production machine and its related KPIs
- Reports any operation abnormalities to the production manager / production supervisor and requests additional maintenance time if needed.
- Follows company rules and regulations pertinent to administrative policies, environmental controls, safety and personal hygiene.
- Serves as safety representative, including coordination of safety training needs, assisting with safety audits, facilitating compliance with standards and maintaining related safety records. Participate/follow-ups in conducting HIRA and Aspect-Impact analysis

Requirements

- Very good command of English and / or Arabic.
- Very good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power-Point, MS Project, outlook).
- Basic management skills (Planning, Organizing, Controlling, & Leading)
- Strong interpersonal skills, team player, independent employee
