Production Manager - Containerboard - Corrugated Jumbo Rolls

Job description / Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our containerboard / corrugated jumbo rolls production operations in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paper manufacturing, specifically in the production of corrugated jumbo rolls, and will be responsible for managing production processes who is working on high-speed modern machines, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the production team to ensure efficient and safe operation of the manufacturing facility.
- Lead an oversee the operation over high-speed good number of machines,
- Oversee the production process of corrugated jumbo rolls, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules.
- Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and budgets to optimize resources and enhance productivity.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and waste reduction, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to maintain high product quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Implement and promote safety practices and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation to enhance production capabilities and reduce costs.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure timely production and delivery.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the production department.

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management within the paper manufacturing or recycling industry.
- Proven experience in managing production of corrugated / containerboard rolls materials, specifically jumbo rolls.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze production metrics and implement strategies for improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
