Project Controls Director - PMC

Our client, a Tier 1 Engineering Consultancy are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Director to join their team in Riyadh on a one of its kind iconic mega project. Our client specialize in delivering complex and high-value projects. With a focus on innovation and excellence, they pride ourselves on providing top-notch services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain project controls systems, processes, and tools to monitor and manage project performance, including cost, schedule, risk, and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to establish project control objectives and strategies.
• Ensure project schedules are effectively developed, updated, and monitored, including identifying and addressing potential delays or issues.
• Monitor and analyze project costs, providing accurate and timely reporting to support effective decision-making.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts.
• Oversee the change management process, ensuring that changes are properly assessed, documented, and communicated.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the project controls team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
• Conduct regular project control reviews and audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in project controls, implementing relevant improvements and innovations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• 20+ years experience
• Proven experience as a Project Controls Manager or in a similar role, successfully managing project controls for complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Proficiency in using project management software and other relevant tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Earned Value Management systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of managing and motivating a team.
