Employment: Full Time

Currie & Brown is currently looking for a project controls engineer to work on a prestigious high-rise tower project based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

• Ensuring compliance with programme-wide reporting frameworks and adherence to quality standards in performing and maintain policies and procedures
• Developing and maintaining detailed product schedules
• Monitoring cost and commitment through requisition and invoice review
• Ensuring active engagement of team members by delegation of tasks to the appropriate person both on a long-term and on a day-to-day basis
• Coordinating and regulating various meetings such as project progress review meetings, quality circles, etc
• Applying various project progress methods to ensure the project schedule is on track to meet deadlines or deliverables
• Ensuring adherence to recommended best practices
• Developing strategies to overcome roadblocks or delays through various methods such as using industry-related technical knowledge, innovating short cuts or alternative ways, improvising with available resources, scheduling overtime to meet the deadline, etc
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Developing and monitoring project control system and cost forecasts
• Analyzing, evaluating and forecasting the current project status against the baseline schedule
• Assessing the impacts of design or construction changes to the schedule

Requirements

• BSc in construction management, engineering, architecture, planning or management information systems
• Experience using Primavera (P6) certification
• A minimum of 10 years’ technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy
• Progressing towards accreditation to a relevant professional body such as APM, CIOB or PMP
• Experience working on high-rise projects, fit-outs, testing and commissioning and tenancy co-ordination.
• Post-contract experience in handover and final accounts
• Middle East experience is essential
• Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
• Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
• A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
