RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for delivery of all aspect of project controls
- Oversee the project controls activities of Engineering, Procurement and Construction
- Implement project controls processes, procedure and systems
- Providing strategic direction to project in controlling, planning and economic/value management
- Development, monitoring and review of project schedule and budget / cost estimates
- Analyzing spend v budget schedule and developing mitigation plans (if required)
- Validation of feasibility studies against schedules and budgets
- Validate business model and develop/implement opportunities
- Risk analysis and mitigation
- Development and enforcement of budgetary and project scheduling guidelines
- Provision of support and (when necessary) challenge on technical solutions, having considered potential impact to cost and schedule
- Ensuring Safety considerations are built into scheduling activities
- Developing and enforcing budgetary and project scheduling guidelines
- Establishing cost and project schedule reporting/tracking systems between projects, units, with particular emphasis on meeting the requirements of corporate reporting
- Conducting analyses and developing mitigation plans (spend vs. budget, schedule progress against milestones, Earned Value Management)
- Playing a pivotal role in the development and execution of contracting and procurement strategies such that it is in line with the project scheduling and commercial controls
- Supporting and challenging the local project directors on proposed technical solutions taking into consideration both financial/cost, schedule and risk optimization
- Providing strategic direction to project teams in controlling, planning and economic/value management to ensure consistency across all green/brown field projects organizations
- Provide full project reporting, factoring in safety considerations to scheduling activities according to risk profile that is in line with Company standards

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven track record of project controls with specific project management experience in capital projects > $550 million
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in senior roles in project controls, planning and economic evaluations
- Strong business acumen, with a solid understanding of Scheduling and Commercial Controls and Costing models, with a proven track record of implementation
- Computer literate in cost/schedule control systems
