Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Compiles estimate and associated pricing impacting the total installed cost (TIC) and calculates appropriate level of contingency
• Structures estimates to reflect cost coding work breakdown structure (WBS)
• Writes basis of estimate including scope of work, basis of equipment pricing, and basis of MTOs
• Facilitates estimate review meeting as to completeness of project scope in the estimate
• Maintains and controls approved estimates with all supporting documents for project records
• Provides guidance to project team on minimum requirements and format of supporting documents per phase gate
• Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and propose mitigation plans to management
• Implement work breakdown and project coding structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract
• Coordinate with project team to develop rules of credit and report accurate progress measurement of engineering and construction activities
• Compares estimates with actuals and appropriately adjust rates for future estimates.
• Provide meaningful, accurate historical data and maintain database of program cost experiences
• Assist project engineer with estimating scope changes for funded projects and ensure change management is followed
• Attend weekly project meetings and contribute to discussions on cost and schedule
• Communicate budgeted costs, forecasts, overruns, contingency draw-down , and concerns to project team in dashboard reports or other formats requested by management
• Assist project engineer with financial closeout of project
• Input lessons learned into program database

Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years for work­ related experience
• Significant technical knowledge and practical experience with applicable software systems, such as: Primavera P6, SAP, Microsoft Office products, and related management tools for cost, change, and progress measurement
• Industry- specific experience in all facets and phases of a project: Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Startup
• Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
