Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:
• Leading in the delivery of projects, including setting up teams and implementing company projects standards and procedures
• Ensuring that the project is planned and structured for success
• Overseeing responsibility for the project on site and project delivery throughout close-out, commission and handover stages
• Maintaining client relationships
• Directing project team and managing resource planning process to deliver to client expectations while meeting and/or exceeding profitability targets
• Monitoring financial performance of the project in line with company financial reporting, project reviews and other mandatory requirements
• Monitoring project team performance and taking corrective action as required
• Reporting regularly to regional director on any material issues involving the projects or our contracts
• Acting as direct line manager for project staff

The successful candidate(s) will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as preferred service provider.

Requirements

Currie & Brown has a range of opportunities across its Middle East offices and is currently looking for a suitably qualified project director who meets the following requirements:

• BSc degree in civil engineering, construction management or equivalent
• Professional membership with RICS, CIOB or MAPM
• Experience with project planning software, eg Primavera
• Middle East experience is essential, specifically with major building projects
• Minimum of 15 years’ progressively responsible (managerial) experience with at least 5 in the Middle East to include Saudi Arabia
• Client and sector growth strategy and implementation planning experience
• Strong business development and team management experience
• Excellent customer service, communication and client/external interface skills
• Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well disciplined and commercially astute
• Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal
• A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
