Job description / Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Director to lead our construction projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of quality throughout the construction process. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will be crucial in driving project success and fostering strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to optimize project performance.
- Oversee project procurement processes, including the selection and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a culture of safety within the project team.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to ensure high levels of performance and collaboration.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports, financial forecasts, and budget updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project team, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices, integrating innovative solutions into project execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (PMP, LEED, etc.) is a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and industry standards, particularly within the Saudi Arabian context.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze project performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Proficient in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and driving project success.
Salary:
SAR
20,000 to 40,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
