Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with an international consulting firm who are looking to hire a Project Director to join their team.
Your main responsibilities will be to communicate with the client’s representatives continuously regarding project progress and areas of concerns. You will participate in the planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions for the construction project. You will also provide conceptual estimates, feasibility studies and cost estimates as well as coordinating the production of basic design plans and construction documents. In this role you will develop and administer project budgets and fiscal controls, contracts and quality control provisions. Perform project cost estimating and value engineering, as appropriate along with overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day management of the construction project. Monitor and coordinate work performed by architectural, engineering and construction departments.
Requirements
The successful candidate should hold a bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent with 20 years’ experience as Project Manager. You should have a PMP, PMI, CEng, RIBA or equivalent certification with a strong track record in delivering projects in a fast moving and challenging environment. Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word. You should also possess exceptional leadership skills, a collaborative management style and ability to work in a multi-discipline team format. Due to the nature of the role, you should have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
