Responsibilities

- Managing a multi-functional design and commercial team responsible for delivering many varied infrastructure projects in accordance with the client's requirements.
- Managing key stakeholder interfaces which will include all departments within the client organisation as well as other government departments.
- Establish project controls and reporting and ensure timely delivery of projects to time, cost and quality.
- Progress reporting and monitoring in line with contract KPIs
- Ensure resources are appropriate to meet current and future commitments and to maximise opportunities.

Requirements

Requirements

- Degree qualified in an engineering or architectural discipline
- Experience in design team leadership
- He must have a minimum qualification BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent, have Chartered status and more than 10 years' experience with 5 being like this project/role.
- Able to solve problems by thinking laterally and able to understand the needs and requirements of providing design solutions in a developing country
- Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary design team
- Set out / agree design standards and parameters
- An experienced Project Manager with a demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multi-functional projects specifically within a Highways and Transportation background
- Experience of operating within major highways frameworks would be a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of project controls procedures.
- A "rounded profile", comfortable with planning, analysis and managing process and commercial considerations. The successful candidate will also be able to mobilise people and teams and drive for a successful delivery.
- Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures both within projects, with clients and internally.
