WSP is looking for a Project Manager to manage and lead a PMC project in NEOM, Saudi Arabia. You will have extensive experience in the hotel development sector, in project management methodologies, a passion for grasping new technologies and thrive upon 'thinking out of the box to develop and deliver solutions to complex engineering problems.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Chair weekly progress meetings to update stakeholders on design, programme, procurement and commercial matters.
• Manage external design consultants to ensure that their deliverables are submitted on schedule, as per required procedures, meet minimum quality requirements, and to client expectations.
• Responsible for reviewing consultant deliverables for completeness against contract scope.
• Develop and deliver a delivery programme including all the phases of a project (design, permitting and procurement).
• Facilitate and chair design meetings between consultants and the client's technical team.
• Collate and consolidate design review comments and agree on final status with the client before issuing to consultants.
• Liaise closely with cost consultant to develop detailed cost estimates for work plans.
• Manage the VE/Cost Reduction process, chair VE workshops and maintain the VE tracker in liaison with cost consultant.
• Ensure the consultant's timely engagement of authorities and submissions for NOCs and approvals, assisting as required.
• Manage the RFI process by maintaining the RFI tracker and ensuring the timely response of the client on consultant-raised queries.
• Support the procurement process by reviewing and assessing PQQs and technical tender submissions, as well as interviewing tenderers.
• Manage and coordinate project direction and scope from analysis through implementation.
• Ensure the progress of project is evaluated on a regular basis against the baseline programme and ensure the consultants' timely submission of monthly reports.
• Prepare and update the project management plan.
• Manage the change process and assist with design change reviews.
• Ensure the consultant's timely issuance of IFC documents to the contractor and their timely review and close out of contractor submittals.
• Maintain oversight of contractor's procurement and construction activities and ensure that these are in line with the approved construction programme.
• Ensure the proper closing out of construction activities and the handover to the client in line with contract requirements.
• Review safety plans and ensure work is completed safely within company H&S policy.
• Ensure that weekly and monthly progress reporting are completed on time, bringing to the client's attention advance warnings, risks and their mitigation, issues requiring client direction, and any outstanding actions by the project stakeholders

Requirements

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
• Chartered / Professional Engineer.
• Engineering or Architecture Degree
• 10+ years post-qualification experience.
• Have experience of management of a multi-disciplinary project
• Have the experience of working closely with a large design team to deliver high quality design within a demanding environment.
• Must be Saudi National
