Project Manager - Water

Job description / Role

General Responsibilities:

• Managing the PMC team
• Contract reviews and performance of services
• Project activities are performed according to management system, policies, strategies and plans
• Planning is performed and necessary resources are in place
• Responsible for progress meetings and PM meetings with Client etc
• Approving of Project related correspondence
• Making sure that communication channels with Contractors and Client remain
• Participating in the definition of Project QHSSE and Compliance
• Committing to the implementation of the Project Compliance approaches and planning and procedural setup
• Initiating, discussing and updating the overall expected costs and schedule forecasts with the Project Controls Manager and related Discipline Leaders on a regular basis
• Supporting the Project Controls & Services Manager in the preparation of the Overall WBS, Baseline Schedules and further updates as more information is available
• Initiating the preparation of action and mitigation plans and supporting their implementation
• Organizing actions related to claims, dispute or warranty issues of Contractors

Requirements

Required Experience:

• Bachelor / Master Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant Engineering discipline
• PMP Certified essential
• Must have 15+ years work experience in Project Management Consultancy / Developer / Program Management with at least 10 years on similar projects with proven successful completion
• Essential experience on large Water projects - Pipelines, Transmission networks Sewage, Drainage, Potable, TSE, Irrigation
• Proven track record in a PM position on large scale project
• Strong English language communication skills, analytical and excellent leadership skills
