Role Summary:

Project Technical Manager Position for the Saudi operations has become available. Start your career with Baker Hughes a GE company, a leader in the Oilfield Services industry. You are expected to provide technical/operational knowledge to the Integrated Well Services Project team to assist in capturing more business, improving performance in well construction, completion and production, and building capability within the organization. The job holder ensures that technical and administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner to support the technical personnel in well delivery. This role supports the IWS Team by serving as a subject matter expert in one or 3 more product lines.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop optimal solutions and packages to the Project team and customer.
• Provide input in area of expertise to define a wide range of development scenarios used to analyze cost, impacts, etc. and allow customer to select the risk/reward scenario that best fits their needs.
• Participate in and conduct customer technical presentations, end of well report and SQRs.
• Monitor and applies the best practices and technological advancements to all operations
• Provide engineering support to field level operations
• Communicate effectively with Client Drilling Engineers on a daily and as needed basis, and make recommendations to engineers in order to optimize drilling performance
• Ensure that actual well pre-defined KPIs are monitored and benchmarked against offset data and pre-defined well objectives
• Conduct post well evaluations of drilling practices and effectiveness
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions and engineering support during the well construction
• Evaluate offset data, industry practices, alternative methods, and innovations to improve the efficiency of the project and compile, analyze, and report drilling performance metrics for quarterly reviews and post well analyses

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 8+ years of experience in oilfield industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact with customers at various managerial and technical levels
• Highly motivated, focused, hands-on, result oriented, strong drive for excellence
• Experience in one or more than product lines such as DS, DB, DCF
• Advanced use of software applications including MS Office, e-mail clients, and web browsers

Desired Characteristics:

• Bit selection, BHA design, hydraulics and torque & drag, drilling fluid selection, casing running operations, cementing operations, logging operations
• Casing design, cementing slurry and operation design
• NPT analysis
• Risk assessment and mitigation plans
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work independently within a given framework
• Work experience as an Applications or Optimization Engineer
