Provider Head - Saudi Arabia

Job purpose

The Provider Head will provide strategic and operational leadership to all staff at the TVTC college as well as providing strategic guidance and coaching to the incumbent Dean of the college This role is a senior leadership position reporting into the Chief Operating Officer and carries responsibility for the delivery of the project at the college level. The Provider Head leads on the implementation and delivery of the college improvement plan. The Provider Head seeks to maintain a strong relationship with the incumbent Dean, working to influence without directive, practices extreme patience under pressure and support college transformation.

Responsibilities

Specific Duties of this post:

• Performance manage a team of key senior managers
• To work with the existing Dean to improve all areas of the college in line with the College Improvement Plan (CIP)

The post holder will:

- Have his own line position in the college organisation and will be involved in all Senior Management Team decisions
- Be specifically responsible for procurement, Personnel, and curricular decisions
- Personally, coach the College Dean on problem-solving strategies and frameworks, leadership qualities, public speaking skills, and task management
- Be the primary assessor of the College Dean, and will regularly report progress to the Procurer

• To be able to affect change outcomes through influencing and gaining buy-in from all incumbent staff
• To represent Interserve within the college and to work effectively to ensure the client relationship is maintained positively always
• Schedule regular 1:1 meetings with all direct reports to monitor progress against the CIP, contractual milestones and key performance indicators
• Chair all board meetings and lead on all senior decision making discussion forums
• Oversee the assessment by the Teaching and Learning Coaches of each member of training staff on content knowledge, teaching ability, technical knowledge, "will" (dedication to the job), and the associated personalised coaching and training plans of trainers
• Support the review of existing curricula and identification any new programs or courses to be introduced as well as any programs or courses currently offered that they believe should be discontinued.
• Support and direct the assessment of training staff content knowledge, work ethics, and effectiveness in fulfilling the responsibilities of their position
• Support the training of staff on subject knowledge for services they provide, technical skills, time management, and any other relevant areas indicated by the coach;
• Assess the progress of staff against key performance indicators on a Semester basis; and share findings
• Identify staff members who are not progressing or not showing willingness to change

Main responsibilities of this post:

• Lead senior management team to develop and deliver the strategic objectives of the CBC project with specific leadership responsibilities for teaching and learning
• Work collaboratively with the college Dean and mangers to further the improvement agenda
• Promote and advance an agenda of academic excellence
• Oversee the evaluation of the implementation and impact of professional development and training, for continuous college improvement
• Accepts other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer

Requirements

Knowledge skills & experience

Qualifications

• Minimum PHD and above
• PhD study is highly desirable

Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum 15 years' experience in leading and overseeing college operations as principle or dean
• Extensive Leadership and management (minimum of 15 years' experience) within an educational setting, ideally in the FE or HE sector
• Extensive experience across college operations, specifically related to quality assurance, teaching and learning and/or student services/experiences
• Experience of managing the overall implementation of the following:

- College improvement
- Change management
- OFSTED inspection standards
- IT infrastructure development
- A coaching and mentoring programme
- TVET curriculum development
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to speakers of Arabic with limited proficiency in English

• To be able to present technical information in a non-technical manner.
