Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The QA/QC Manager is required to provide leadership for company QA/QC Operations, developing and supporting company Quality Assurance and Quality Control policy to aid the realisation of company goals. Monitors implementation of QA/QC policies to ensure success and compliance. The QA/QC manager also provides support within the company for QA/QC integration into company processes and plans. Also contributes to the tendering and business development process as may be required.

Responsibilities:
- To develop, set, implement and meet QA/QC policies and objectives throughout the company. Role requires that QA/QC policies and processes comply with standards outlaid by legislation taking into account project and client requirements. Make certain that this policies and procedures are followed through all parts of the company including supply chain, engineering, plant services, manufacturing and construction.
- Accountable for companies QA/QC policy and responsible for the creation of a secure working environment by managing and reducing exposure to risk by complying with HSE legislation.
- Oversee and advise on departmental budget and monitor financial performance. Identify: areas of potential cost saving, ways of maximising revenue, areas of substandard performance.
- To coordinate with internal company departments and external organisations to plan and conduct and audit schedule for company policies and projects relating to quality control and assurance. Devise strategies for effective quality control assessment and make proposals based on these assessments and the implementation of appropriate strategies.
- Ensure the continued development of QA/QC standards, rules and procedures by encouraging the adoption of industry best practices and technologies, improvement of business processes and the development of resources and skills.
- Advise on making improvements on, and the execution of HSE plans, while supporting the HSE team in this task. Make certain that knowledge of latest HSE legislation, codes of practice, and general guidance is cascaded through organisation, while liaising with legislative and regulatory agencies.
- Establish KPI’s for measuring and tracking the success of QA/QC policies and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, rules, procedures, standards and best practices.
- Ensure the investigation, recording and monitoring of HSE incidents, including the distribution of HSE bulletins and other HSE information, including sharing of lessons learned and findings of HSE incidents.
- Ensure effective Management of Change policies and strategies are followed.
- Provide department leadership to achieve the objectives of the department. Maintain and improve department performance by developing and motivating staff by setting goals, managing performance development, conducting performance review, encouraging ongoing development, and recruiting appropriately qualified staff.
- Ensure reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner and complying with company standards.

Requirements

- BEng Mechanical Engineering
- 15 – 20 Years applicable experience with at least 5 years in Managerial Positions increasing in seniority and responsibility, with P&L and Business Unit management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Saudi Arabia preferred
