Job Title: Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager

Job Summary

To develop quality management systems, validate processes; provide quality documentation and standards, manage staff. Identifies KPIs and lead quality audits. To promote implement, maintain, and audit quality management system and procedures across the organization, seeking continual quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and improve quality awareness within the organization; and identify areas for improvements.
• Create, update and maintain all project submittal platforms and all other project specific quality control reports.
• Manage and delegate tasks to a team of site quality control engineers.
• Conduct semi-annual management review meetings;
• Investigate and attain to client’s feedback reports regarding quality of work
• Manage and control quality system requirements in construction schedule, maintain
• requirements of inspection and test in order to achieve and maintain consistent product quality and standard of workmanship
• Support the review civil shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications by direct review and by leveraging the knowledge and experience of others in the project team when necessary.
• Defining quality procedures in conjunction with construction team
• Provide technical support to Construction Team, identify and communicate product quality requirements / relevant standards to maintain consistency of product quality.
• Chair and document weekly quality control meetings for civil/architecture with the project control manager and provide written minutes as described in project specific contract documents.
• Provide periodical reports that reinforce activities that are being constructed in conformance with each specific project’s established standard and constructively confronts non-conformances to produce the desired outcome in a timely manner.
• Conduct preparatory, initial and follow-up meetings to establish an understanding of the standards of care desired for each definable feature of work.
• Support the verification and documentation that all civil/architecture materials received for the project is in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately and are acceptable for use in the project.
• Assist preconstruction meetings with contractors and the PCM team prior to the start of each new phase of the work to discuss issues that affect civil quality.
• Assist in the coordination and documentation of the testing and commissioning of building systems as part of site closeout procedure.
• Coordinate with construction team for final Commissioning & Test activities.
• Where appropriate, the Quality Manager advises on changes and their implementation and
• provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
• Assist in assembling and forwarding project closeout documents that include O&M manuals and as-built.
• Develop a quality & inspection program that meets the provisions of the Operations & Maintenance
• Activity at project closure phase.
• Advise on the stoppage of work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality and/or inhibit the logical progress of work.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an internationally recognized university.

To be successful at this role, you should have not less than 20 years of experience in the quality assurance and control management field.

You should have excellent knowledge of International codes and standards in general and Saudi Arabian in particular. You must have experience in implementing quality assurance control systems in all phases of a project.

Fluency in the English and Arabic language is mandatory.
