Louis Berger was awarded the lead contract to provide program and construction management services for Package 3 of the Riyadh Metro project. Package 3 is an $8 billion project involving management of the design and construction of Line 4, Line 5 and Line 6, as well as 22 stations, in the new metro system in the Kingdom. Due to the high demand of the project and client our ever growing team is are currently seeking for a Quality Assurance Engineer (Tunnel Station) to contribute to the ongoing success of delivering to our client’s needs.

Duties and Responsibilities not limited to:
• Monitor the implementation of the project management systems by both of PMCM and D&B contractor, and its effectiveness, through document reconciliation and other appropriate means, liaising closely with the appropriate Senior Project Manager and construction personnel.
• Initiate actions to eliminate inconsistencies and to achieve the acceptable quality standards.
• Assist in the Preparation of the Project Quality Plan and associated project documentation procedures.
• Assisting construction personnel to develop the required quality documentation.
• Assisting Reviewing all type of quality procedures, ITP and Checklist for each and every activities which are going to execute for the permanent work for above mentioned project.
• Verify the ISO 9001-2008, conformance on all factories / manufacturers / vendor qualifications, where appropriate
• Verify the materials compliance and conformity with the design / specifications of the international standards (British or American) and take decision to reject or accept.
• Review and Coordinate the technical work of the department and project teams.
• Ensuring that all equipment used for measuring and testing is in calibration and such records are available
• Establishing a filing system for quality records and maintaining such files.
• Issuing the required reports to the Quality Assurance Manager or his nominee
• Providing guidance and assistance to project staff with respect to any aspect of the management system
• Conduct internal and external Audits on Project department and Contractor’s premises respectively.
• Monitor the quality control indicators and alert Const. managers / Project Engineer in cases of deviation and propose corrective measures to be applied.
• Conduct Quality Induction for line team.
• Review Contracts, Specifications, Laboratory Test Results, M.S., Proposed and follow-up corrective actions on the quality management system.
• Attend weekly quality and progress, if required, meeting with DB Contractor.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or comparable Technical Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a bias towards construction, structures & geotechnics & MPE & Railway & Metro
• Strong Communication (written and oral) skills
• Computer Proficiency (MS Excel, MS Word and Power Point)
• Auditing training certificate
• AWS / CSVIP Welding certificate
• 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance
• Auto Cad is desired
