Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a leading contractor specialising in major infrastructure projects as part of the 2030 vision, are seeking a Quality Control Manager to work on a number of recently awarded giga projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated solid knowledge in Preparing Project Quality Plan and Other Quality Control Related Documents ( Method Statements - Inspection And Test Plan and Checklists).
• Ensuring compliance of works with applicable codes, standards, contracts, specifications.
• Drafting the quality policy and objectives, project quality plan, QMP’s and any other procedure or document necessary for the successful implementation of the project quality requirements.
• Monitor status of inspections and follow–up on actions for re–submission, ensuring all required actions are completed prior to re-submission.
• Controlling of all related quality log/register and keep at the point of use.
• Supervise the activities of QC engineers, inspectors.
• Control of non-conforming product and taking action to eliminate the detected non-conformity.
• Monitor and check revision status of drawings used on site by construction team including subcontractors, to ensure that no superseded drawings are at point of use.
• Issuing Weekly and monthly QA/QC report and reporting quality activities to Project Manager.
• Issuing Internal Nonconformity Reports NCRs and controlling corrective and preventive actions
• Conducting Internal Audits For several department to confirm the effectiveness of the the quality management system.
• Preparation of materials technical submissions based on ( Drawing , BOQ and specification requirements) and activities requirements.
• Preparation of the close out documents including the closure of snag list items.
• Attending Weekly QA/QC Meeting with the consultant and Weekly Progress Meeting With the Client.
• Preparation of the close out documents including the closure of snag list items.
• Provided Technical support and resolving all outstanding issues related to non-conformance reports and/or surveillance reports.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements:

• University degree in civil engineering or similar
• Good command of English language (Arabic would be an advantage)
• At least 15 years of general professional experience; extensive experience in construction QAQC management or similar.
• Experience in Gulf Region.
