Quality Manager

Job description / Role

• Direct and manage the quality system to meet ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, customer, and other SEL requirements.
• Lead education and implementation of quality tools to continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
• Communicate SEL product problems to customers and offer effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Manage the customer satisfaction survey process and review results with process owners to determine improvement actions.
• Benchmark SEL against best-in-class companies and competitors. Collaborate with E.O. Schweitzer Manufacturing and SEL Mexico on quality system improvements.
• Manage and improve performance and efficiency of Quality System and Product Bulletin operations and processes.
• Communicate SEL quality approach, quality system performance, and any need for improvement to customers, management, employees, sales representatives, and the general public.
• Promote a creative and positive environment for company-wide quality improvement focused on meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. degree
• Five to Ten years of operational quality systems experience in electrical power industry
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
• Good knowledge on ISO14001 and OHSAH18001
• Experience in electrical power system protection is preferred
• Demonstrated success in chartering and implementing improvement initiatives
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Excellent organization and project management skills
• Excellent English & knowledge of MS Office.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL
• Gulf countries experience is preferred

Preferred Qualifications
• ASQ Certified Quality Manager
• MBA or other advanced degree
