Summary

The recreation receptionist at Miraval The Red Sea serves as the welcoming face of the Serenity Center and Body Mindfulness Center, guiding guests through their well-being journeys with warmth, professionalism, and mindfulness. This role ensures smooth coordination of wellness, fitness, and recreational experiences by managing bookings, supporting instructors, handling transactions, and maintaining an organized, guest-focused environment.

Aligned with Miraval's philosophy of mindfulness, balance, and transformation, the recreation receptionist contributes to exceptional guest service, operational excellence, and revenue generation while upholding the values of safety, cultural respect, and team collaboration.


Key responsibilities

Guest reception & support

  • Greet guests with presence and care, offering clear information about available wellness, fitness, and recreational experiences.
  • Manage bookings for classes, workshops, private sessions, and other wellness offerings, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide a smooth, welcoming check-in and check-out process, answering inquiries with mindfulness and professionalism.
  • Help guests align their wellness intentions—such as relaxation, fitness focus, or emotional renewal—with suitable services and experiences.
  • Operational support & flexibility

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and ambiance of reception areas in both centers.
  • Coordinate with the reservations and wellness operations teams to ensure balanced scheduling and seamless guest flow.
  • Support activity setup, room readiness, and guest logistics in collaboration with instructors and wellness practitioners.
  • Adapt to peak periods, special events, and operational needs with a flexible, guest-focused mindset.
  • Guest engagement & experience enhancement

  • Foster personalized guest relationships with warmth, mindfulness, and attention to detail.
  • Create a calm and inviting environment that encourages self-connection and exploration.
  • Collect guest feedback and share it with relevant departments to support ongoing service improvement.
  • Guide guests toward meaningful experiences that support their personal goals and intentions.
  • Safety, cultural sensitivity & environment

  • Ensure all operations follow health, safety, and emergency protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of cultural sensitivities and support an inclusive, respectful, and multicultural space.
  • Contribute to a peaceful and orderly environment that reflects Miraval's wellness philosophy.
  • Cashiering, reporting & inventory assistance

  • Handle guest transactions including cash, card, and POS payments with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Complete end-of-day reports, handovers, and daily financial summaries as per resort procedures.
  • Assist with inventory checks and stock management of wellness and retail items at the reception area.
  • Monitor and record retail sales, updating systems and communicating stock needs as required.
  • Upselling, retail & revenue contribution

  • Actively promote spa and wellness services, personal sessions, and workshops aligned with guest interests.
  • Upsell retail products used in treatments or classes, offering personalized recommendations.
  • Contribute to overall revenue and service quality goals by delivering informative and thoughtful suggestions.
  • Support positive guest satisfaction and review scores through consistent service excellence.
  • Team collaboration & communication

  • Work closely with the scheduling, spa, and wellness teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Communicate changes, updates, and guest needs across departments in real-time.
  • Contribute to a team environment of trust, mindfulness, and continuous improvement.
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a receptionist, guest service, or front-of-house role in a wellness, spa, or luxury hospitality setting.
  • Experience handling POS systems, cash, card payments, and basic reporting procedures.
  • Familiarity with fitness, wellness, or recreational programming.
  • Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Previous experience in upselling services or retail within a guest-focused environment is preferred.

  • Strong multitasking and time management in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail in handling bookings, payments, and reporting.

  • About the Company

    Hyatt was founded by Jay Pritzker in 1957 when he purchased the Hyatt House motel adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport.
