Position Description

We are seeking a Senior Exploration Resource Analyst to join the Exploration Resource Assessment Department (ERAD). The position will require specialized expertise in multiple integrated geoscience disciplines to define undiscovered prospective subsurface resources as well as delineating low carbon potential (including but not limited to geothermal resources, carbon capture/sequestration and Hydrogen exploration).

The Senior Exploration Resource Analyst postion will involve critically evaluating basin-scale geoscience data to analyze stratigraphy, structure, facies (source, reservoir & seal) and charge modeling. The position also requires expertise in petroleum play chance risk analysis and remaining resources assessments to provide play-based exploration opportunities and data acquisition recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:
- Evaluate plays for subsurface resources, as well as for low carbon (including but not limited to geothermal resources, carbon capture & sequestration and Hydrogen exploration) potential through a fully integrated workflow
- Create play chance maps for both conventional and unconventional plays, using relevant discipline products (stratigraphy, structure, facies -source, reservoir & seal and charge modeling
- Place play-based exploration work into play venture context and report actionable play-level plans to management including risk, resource and confidence

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Geosciences or related field (e.g., Geology, Geophysics, or other related science and engineering fields), an advanced degree is preferred.

You will have a minimum of 15 years of experience, with extensive experience in regional studies and at least 5-10 years of professional experience in play-based exploration, including an extensive formal experience in regional integrative geoscience analysis and a good exposure to different sedimentary basins (most importantly passive margin, foreland and rifted settings)
