Regional Planning Manager
Salary: up to SAR 30,000 plus excellent company benefits
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Our Client, is a large diversified international contracting and construction company, established more 50 years ago in Europe

In the early 1970`s the company further expanded operations in Saudi Arabia, UAE, North Africa and Mediterranean area.

Their involvement in many projects consisting of major ports and other important marine works have contributed to the regions development

Our client has projects currently in Saudi Arabia and are looking for an experienced Planning Manager to join their Team.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager you will manage a team of planning manager and lead planners

Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
• Supervise the pre-award and post-award planning activities within the region.
• Define projects’ requirements related to planning activities and select, assign, train and support the planning staff within the region.
• Lead the preparation and revision of the Contract Baseline Schedules in coordination with the Projects teams and ensure the proper methods for regular updates are implemented.
• Lead the preparation of progress measurement procedures and reporting procedures (internal and external) and ensure they are properly implemented.
• Lead the preparation of productivities measurement procedures and ensure field data are properly collected, consolidated and analyzed.
• Ensure that the resources are properly forecasted and planned by the Projects team based on actual and/or best estimated performances and consolidate the forecast across the region for action by regional management.
• Prepare consolidated reports for critical issues affecting the timely and economic performance of the projects requiring escalation or special attention by the regional management.
• Lead the process of identification, analysis and correction of deviation and/or delays from the approved/budgeted plans.
• Ensure that records of events affecting the timely and economic performance of the projects are properly maintained and communicated to the Clients.
• Lead the preparation of delays and disruptions analysis and provide the necessary resulting reports / data to the regional Project Controls and Contracts managers for preparation of associated claim

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering; M.Sc. degree is a plus.
• 12-year experience working in EPC environment out of which 8-years in Planning.
• Preferred to have experience working in marine, oil & gas, desalination, power generation and/or infrastructure projects.
• Preferred to have experience working in Middle East / GCC.
• Should be familiar with standard forms of Contracts, such as FIDIC, and should be aware of standard Contracts’ requirements.
• Expert knowledge in Primavera (P6) is essential.
• Possess excellent communication skills in English
• Candidates currently in the GCC are preferred
